Healthy Easter Basket Stuffers You’ll be Happy to Give and Receive!
Easter has almost become as synonymous with candy as Halloween, but receiving a basket of goodies that is actually GOOD for you can be just as exciting. Whether you are arranging a basket of treats for your child, a significant other or coworker, gathering healthy Easter treats instead of sugary candy can be just as fun and just as delicious. Consider stocking up on the following healthy Easter basket stuffers this year!
7 Healthy Easter Basket Treats
1. Fresh fruit. A lot of Easter candies are flavored with chemicals to taste like fruit, so why not give the real thing? Lining your baskets with fresh fruits like strawberries, grapes and oranges can make a beautiful basket bursting with spring colors.
2. Vitamins. From a daily multivitamin to fish oil supplements to chewable Flintstones, giving vitamins is a great way to show someone that their health is important to you.
3. Trail mix. Go the extra mile and make your own healthy trail mix using your favorite varieties of nuts, dried fruit and little extras, like shredded coconut, yogurt-covered raisins or chocolate chips. Fill up plastic Easter eggs with your unique mix for a sweet surprise.
4. Herbal teas. Find brightly packaged herbal teas in tons of fun and fruity flavors, like blueberry, pomegranate orange and raspberry.

Thanks Kelly, some great ideas here.
How about adding actual eggs to the list? They’re one of the most nutritious foods around, and can be coloured and painted at this time of year to look more attractive for kids.
Chewable FLintstone vitamins? If you look at the ingredient list, you will find aspartame and artificial food coloring. Yuck. I thought the trail mix idea was good.
These are great ideas! My husband and I don’t usually get anything from the Easter Bunny and he’s been filling our boys’ baskets with books for the past few years. They still get a few pieces of candy but these are great ideas to replace them with. Thank you!!
