Post-Baby Belly Progress: Part 2

A couple of weeks ago, I shared photos of my new baby-less belly bump. As you can see below, the basketball-sized baby belly continues to deflate.

Two weeks postpartum.

It was after seeing the above two-week picture that I decided it was time to retire the maternity shirts. While comfy, they began looking a little sloppy at that point!

Three weeks postpartum.

At the three-week mark, the belly started to look less rounded while still having the ability to make strangers wonder “is she or isn’t she?”

Four weeks postpartum.

At four weeks, I noticed a definite flattening to my stomach. Less rounded, my stomach is now just thicker than before. Down a total of 25 pounds, I still have a solid 12 or so pounds to go. I went to my postpartum checkup at four weeks, so I have doctor’s approval to resume my normal activities. Which means: I can work out again! It’ll be interesting to see how quickly (or slowly) I can get back into shape. I went for a brisk walk the other day and my lungs were burning after 5 minutes. Should be interesting…
