Adidas, You’ve Outdone Yourself This Summer

If you’re not quite ready to go barefoot running or brave the amphibian-toes look, these shoes are the perfect in-between for running. Insanely light (just 6.2 ounces!), they kind of feel like air. With tons of mesh so that your feet are able to breath (like big time), you have a little support in the forefront, but with a thin rubber outsole, these aren’t about cushioning. They are about getting you MOVING. And you’ll definitely want to move. After wearing them, other running shoes feel heavy, clunky and simply cumbersome. For $100, they’re not cheap (yet not ridiculous for a good pair of shoes), but if you’re a runner, they’re definitely worth trying on. Or picking up—just to be amazed at how light they are in your hand. And despite being so minimalist, these are actually pretty comfortable. Not in a springy or soft sort of way, but in a “my feet are supposed to move this way” kind of way. Again, I love.
Has anyone else tried any of these new adidas pieces? Stayed tuned next week because we’ll be giving some of it away for our four-year birthday! It’s gonna be cah-razy! —Jenn
