Peter Rabbit Organics: Healthy Portable Pouches for Kids On the Go!

A rainbow of goodness!

Sometimes when I get my daughter’s meals or snacks ready, I can see her eyes glaze over and she yawns sarcastically out of meal-boredom. Not really, but I can imagine that raisins and Cheerios get boring after awhile. That’s why I jumped when Peter Rabbit Organics offered to send its veggie and fruit puree packets for us to try. A healthy portable snack? Sign both of us up and rid us of snack boredom!

We’ve long since moved on from the purees stage, but the Peter Rabbit Organics pouches are suitable for kids of any age. They’re particularly good for snacking on the go as they don’t require refrigeration before opening. The squeezable pouch with a resealable cap lets kids control the snack. Plus, it’s fun. Parents will love that messes are kept to a minimum and that the snacks are made with 100 percent organic fruit and veggies. There isn’t any added sugar or salt; it really is a snack you can feel good about giving your kids.

We tried Apple and Grape, Pea, Spinach and Apple and Pumpkin, Carrot and Apple. Did they pass the toddler taste-test? My daughter, who is the opposite of a picky eater (“more broccoli, please”) liked them, for the most part. She devoured the apple-and-grape variety, and I didn’t blame her: it was yummy and sweet, like applesauce with grapes mixed in. We mixed the pumpkin variety with oatmeal, which made for a super-easy way to add a nutritional and flavor bonus to what could be a boring breakfast. The only one that wasn’t a total hit was the Pea, Spinach and Apple pouch. The apple in this one wasn’t enough to carry the green veggies, and while my daughter likes peas, this one got handed off before it was finished. I tried it too, and it was a little too green-vegetabley for my taste, too.

Want to try the Peter Rabbit Organics pouches yourself? We’re giving some away! One lucky winner will get 12 assorted pouches to try.
