2. Swap refined sugars for palm sugar. I often swap more refined sugars for coconut sugar (AKA palm sugar). It won’t spike blood sugar, so you won’t have cravings in the same way. (Note, because it come from the palm leaves of the coconut tree, not the fruit, it tastes similar to brown sugar and not at all like coconut.)

    Great article. I think it’s great to educate people on the little swaps they can make in their cooking and diet to ensure better health. I love to use coconut oil as a substitute for everything! It’s great instead of butter or oil and you can even make delicious chocolate by just mixing it with cacao and a little stevia.
    I also use stevia instead of sugar, and raw cacao instead of store bought cocoa.
