8. Make your own salad dressing. I love using freshly squeezed lemon juice with a tiny bit of olive oil (even lemon-flavored oil) and fresh minced garlic instead of salad dressing. Not only does it give a really fresh burst of flavor, it also eliminates the sugar that is often found in most bottled salad dressings.
