Everything You Need to Know When Buying Bike Shorts: Inseam

Often, cycling shorts for the ladies will be shorter than men’s. Though some will say it’s because women have shorter legs, others will tell you it’s purely out of vanity—women want shorter cycling shorts in order to better hide unsightly tan lines in their “normal” clothes.

You’ll see inseams start at 3 ½ inches and grow from there. The length you select really doesn’t make a ton of difference. Just make sure it’s long enough to protect the portion of your inner thigh that comes in contact with the seat.
