Are You At Your Happy Weight?

Are you as happy in your own skin as this fruit is? Credit: Nina Matthews Photography

Earlier this month, we shared a few of our top tips for finding your “happy weight.” Now, don’t get it twisted. To us, “happy weight” is more of a feeling or a comfortableness in your own skin rather than some unrealistic, ideal number you’re chasing. After all, no matter your size and the number on the scale, you can—and should—be happy. You should never put off being and feeling your best until you lose 10 pounds, get the promotion, or any other scenario that starts with “I’ll be happy when…”

With that said though, we know ya’ll know what we mean when you just feel comfortable and right with your body, right? When the jeans fit well and getting dressed doesn’t take 10 outfit changes, and you don’t hate on any part of yourself? Well, that’s what we think your “happy weight” really is. Which leads us to today’s poll…

As always, share your thoughts and experiences in the comments. Let’s get this healthy and happy discussion going! And don’t forget, there are just a few more days left to save 10 percent on FBG Life … details here! —Jenn

The link didn’t seem to take me to the right poll. I think weight should be happy and healthy – some make themselves mega skinny and some say they are happy to be overweight (or curvy/cuddly/big/voluptuous or however else they describe it) but there are upper and lower healthy limits for body fat.

    Hi Sue,

Thanks for letting us know that poll wasn’t showing. You should see it now — and thanks for your thoughts, too! “Happy weight” does seem to mean different things to different people!

At my happy weight (yay) but am I happy? Well…I’m getting there and trying to be very grateful for what I have. Merry, Merry all!

Pretty interesting/unfortunate that (at this time) only 9% are happy with their weight right now….

  5. Wow, not many people! Although it’s good to see that they’re working on it. But I must ask, if you’re not happy now, will you ever be? Seems like a catch 22 with happiness :/

  6. I’d be interested to see the results a few months into the new year. I think so many people get caught up in the holiday festivities. I know I do so this time of year I always feel “not quite” my best.
