3. Boiled with Personality. Hard-boiled eggs are an easy, protein-packed snack for kids that I often overlook because of the whole planning ahead thing. But it’s so worth the time to throw a few eggs on to boil and have easy snacks and salad toppers for the week. Plus, I found it was super easy to make hard-boiled eggs fun for kids: I took my daughter’s love for Mr. Potato Head to the kitchen.

Mr. Egg got broccoli for hair, pretzel rods for legs, carrots for arms and eyes and mouth for personality. (Just make sure to clean the toy pieces first!) My 2-year-old thought this was hilarious.
