2013 Fitties: Fitness Buys

Best activity tracker that doesn’t take a Master’s degree to set up properly: Fitbit Zip. Comfy and light-weight to wear, the Fitbit Zip is also a breeze to set up. You can seriously go from package to using it and synced to your computer in like 10 minutes without having to really “read” any directions. And the smilie faces on it are so encouraging! —Jenn

Best techie tool for the pool: Finis AquaPulse. Heart-rate training is something I’m still learning about, and it’s really cool to use the Finis AquaPulse to track my heart rate in the pool. —Kristen

Best running journal: B.I.A. Training Journal. I never really thought a training journal could be “friendly,” but this one is all “Hey, come on in and let’s hang out!” Like your very own little training-journal buddy. It’s not just a place to record your workout; it’s a place to record your feelings, your breakthroughs and your successes. —Jenn

Best nighttime toys for pets: Nite Ize. We just love these awesome light up toys that keep you and Fido active and safe at night! —Erin

Best anti-chafing product: Neat 3B Action Cream. What more can I say? This is a game changer when it comes to chafing. I still use it frequently. No more ass-chafing! —Kristen
