New Balance, New Yoga Apparel With New Anue Line

There are a lot of types of workout apparel out there, but these days, it seems like the comfiest and cutest stuff falls into the yoga/Pilates/barre category. Are we right, or are we right? But whether you agree with us or not, let us introduce you to a new super-cute line we just discovered: Anue by New Balance. They recently sent us a number of goodies to try from this new “premium yoga line,” and, well, just see what we thought of it…squeal!

You can wear these walking flats two ways!

You can wear these walking flats two ways!

New Balance Anue 115 Ballet Flat

I’m a sucker for flats, especially brightly colored ones that are comfy and include “massaging,” like the 115 Ballet Flat. Ridiculously cute, fun and sporty but still classy enough to dress up a bit, these flats are comfy and include a Well2Go reversible insert that allows your tootsies to either experience plush memory foam or gentle massaging pods. Want a more minimal approach? Ditch the insert altogether. Made for walking and going to and fro yoga class, these go for about $55. Word of caution though: you may want to consider sizing up a bit on these if you have a wider toe area. I went with my normal size 8, and they were a touch tight with the insert in. Without the insert the fit was perfect—but no insert means no massaging pods, which is, like, not okay when the foot-massaging option is right there.

Basic with subtle flair!

New Balance Anue Ananda Racerback

This Ananda Racerback tank may look super basic, but it’s got some sauce. With a comfy yet flattering slightly flared-around-the-middle fit, it’s a little stretchy so that it stays put, but it’s not so form-fitting that you feel like a sausage. Flatlock stitching minimizes chafing while you’re in down dog, and it has a built-in bra. The bra won’t support you running or anything, but should do A-okay in a gentle hatha or vinyasa yoga class if your lady lumps are smaller than a C cup. (If that description doesn’t fit you, double up that bra, girlfriend!) While the tank comes in fun colors, we really like the printed back design and how the built-in bra is a different color so that you get a little bit of pop of color when you move. Like everything with the Anue line, it’s subtle but oh-so cute. At $60 it’s not cheap, but it’s quality!

A solid pair of yoga capris.

New Balance Anue Spree Capri

I know, I know. You have a million pairs of yoga capris. But the Anue Spree Capri has a few features worth mentioning. First, they have a flattering fit. Second, they have an excellent, soft, you’ll-want-to-pet-them feel. Third, they’re made of 88 percent recycled polyester and black spandex (how cool is that?!). Fourth, they have seams that resist chafing. And fifth, they have this cute, subtle (there’s that word again!) design on the back that’s totally flattering to the booty. These go for about $60, which really isn’t too bad for what you’re getting, compared to some other yoga apparel brands out there.

So, yeah, we’re digging the new New Balance Anue yoga line! It’s subtly cute and oh-so comfy! Tell us, what do you look for in yoga apparel? —Jenn
