Workout I Did: Workout Circuit That’ll Make Your Calves Moo
Incorporating jump rope into this day’s workout was just what my legs needed to get the mooing started! Credit: Bailey WeaverThere are dog whisperers, horse whisperers and Mark, The Wonderful Muscle Whisperer. I don’t know how this dude knows, but he has been giving me the best workouts that have significantly changed my body for the better.
I started following his plans to a T back in November. Ever since then, my body has been morphing. I’m starting to FINALLY see the arm muscles I’ve always wanted. I’m strong like an ox! I’ve gotten to a healthy BMI (don’t be fooled by lanky girls…they too can have troubling body fat percentages), and I’m well-rounded. I’m still getting in good cardio. I’m strength training like a mo fo, and I’m eating well. Life couldn’t be better! I high-five the man after every successful (read: crazy hard) workout. He whispers to my muscles: “You will obey. You will form. You will grow!” and the little wankers actually do it!
Workout Circuit That’ll Make Your Calves Moo
Perform the following moves for 30 reps, then 25, 20, 15 and then 10:
- Push-ups
- Goblet squats
- TRX back rows (Or if you don’t have a TRX, you can do a back row machine.)
- Kettlebell swings
- 1 minute of jumping rope as fast as you can
Doing each of these moves back-to-back THAT many times will make you sweat for sure, but something about the jump roping made my legs sing a new sweet tune. So prepare yourself. It’s a nice short workout (especially if you take 20 seconds or less breaks between each move), but it will definitely do your body good! But be sure that you practice proper form! At the end of the day, you’re not doing a darn thing for your bod if you’re half-assing form. So do it, but do it right.
Are you game? Try it out and let me know in the comments how it worked for ya—and if your calves mooed, too! —Tish

Jump roping is also excellent cardio as well as the leg part.
What is a Goblet Squat ?
@Ivori Rose : A goblet squat is when you take your dumbbell weight, hold it by one of its ends and then place your arms near your chest. There are some great pictures on google to help where my words fail 🙂

I might have to try this workout just to change up mine
Hahah also wanted to ask what the hell it is. Thanks for the link!
I salute these trainers for coming up with interesting forms of exercise and equipment (like the kettle). It makes exercising more fun for lazy people like me!
Jump roping is the best exercise and it;s fun too!!
This sounds so great! I try to do circuit stuff for my cardio workout on Fridays, but the circuit that I am doing right now isn’t really doing much for me. This sounds like something I’ll try next week !
