Stur Makes Water Way More Fun

Stur585

In my never-ending quest to drink more water and maybe slightly less coffee, I discovered Stur. I’ve gotten into the habit of drinking coffee in the mornings and not really realizing that I’m dehydrated until later in the afternoon, so thanks to Stur’s donation to my hydration project, I’ve been sipping on water a lot more frequently.

My hubby drinks flavored water all the time, and I steal it when I want something besides tap water. But these new Stur flavors are my own special treat. They’re sweetened with stevia and natural fruit flavors, have 0 grams of sugar, 0 calories, 7 essential vitamins and come in a fun bottle. The product was actually developed by the founder to help his then-pregnant wife meet her daily water intake needs. I totally understand that too; water made me gag when I was pregnant, so a little flavor might help you settle your queasy stomach!

It’s also great for that endless thirst postpartum, too, and is particularly good for breastfeeding, according to registered dietitian (and mom) Jenna Bell. “While breastfeeding, we all know that drinking enough fluid is key to milk production,” she says. “As a dietitian and a breastfeeding mom with a few more L-Bs to lose, a splash of Stur adds the taste I want without the added calories to help me drink enough throughout the day.”

It’s definitely yummy enough to make you want to up your water intake. You can add as much or as little flavoring as you like, so if you’re like me and just like to add a bit of flavor without it being overpowering, this is a great one to try. Plus, it tastes great, doesn’t have a creepy mouth-feel, and I don’t really notice any aftertaste from the stevia. It’s just naturally good! My kids are also big fans.

I’ve tried Orange Mango, Tea + Lemon and PomeCranberry. I’ve held off cracking open the Lemonade, Mint Cucumber and Strawberry because it’s best to use these within 30 days of opening ,and I knew I’d never get through six flavors in a month! But so far, I’ve been diving into my Tea + Lemon almost every afternoon, so  it’s clearly my favorite. It doesn’t have that nasty bottled lemon tea flavor that some drinks have, so it’s a good way to get a tea fix when I’m too lazy to brew (which is often). I also love the PomeCranberry, which tastes like you’re adding a splash of cranberry juice to your water, and the Orange Mango adds a hit of citrus that brightens up your water.
