What it is: Mangosteen is so superfoodie that its nickname is “Queen of the Fruits.” The Indonesian fruit has a creamy white flesh that is super sweet, kind of tasting like peach and berries and vanilla — although people say its flavor is really hard to describe. You just gotta try one!
How it’s healthy: High in vitamins A and C, mangosteen is also full of xanthones — a phytonutrient that has been linked to healing infections, preventing cancer and boosting heart health. It’s also said to be a natural antibiotic.
How to try it: You can find mangosteen juice and tea in most natural food markets, but most Asian supermarkets carry mangosteen fruit these days!
