Dear Santa: Some Goodies on My Christmas List

It started early! I caught the Christmas bug RIGHT after Turkey Day. My husband and I got out all the decorations (DECORATE ALL THE THINGS!) and then watched Christmas movies with the fam bam. I avoided the Black Friday frenzy. I just don’t like to shop like that, and seeing people acting ugly over a 20-inch flat screen TV doesn’t really thrill me at all. We’re not completely anti-shopping, though. Saturday we headed out for a favorite must-see Christmas spot in LA — The Grove — to hang out. Out of all the stores, Mark and I ended up in the Nike store and THAT my friends is where my inner kid and FBG went cray and started making my list. The following are wishes only. I haven’t received any of these products. There hasn’t been any testing … YET.

Dear Santa,

I’ve been a very good girl this year. I’ve worked out and remained active. I made healthy choices and put on some muscle I’ve been wanting for a long time. Could you please find it in your jolly heart to consider the following things to put under my tree? … Pretty please?

The Aeroloft 800 Running Vest! This vest was the reason we both stopped and went into the store. (See my husband drooling in the reflection?!) This light-weight running vest packs 800-fill goose down (hence the 800 in the name). It felt like paper nothingness when I put it on, but it was so warm and cozy. I call it the space suit. Yes, I’d rock it on runs, but I’d also rock it around the semi-cold streets of Los Angeles. It’s stylish and functional, but lest we also remember that it’s bad ass and looks like a space suit. I need the space suit, Santa! It comes in a plethora of colors, too.

The Luxe Running Tight Capri! Oh, Santa Baby, I’ve been itching to step into some cool looking running capris for a while now. I keep seeing all these runners in my neighborhood with cool patterned pants. All my pants are black. I’m ready to branch out. Add some color while keeping it tight. Literally! Nike’s new tight fit gear is comfy to the touch while still keeping everything in place.

The Lunar Flyknit Chukka! Okay, this one’s actually not for me, Santa. It’s for my husband, but I figure I would snag two birds with one letter. He’s been wanting these bad boys since he first laid eyes on my flyknit tennies. I’ve searched everywhere for the wolf grey Chukka in his size but to no avail. I once met a cat rocking them and I desperately approached him asking where he found them. He said Japan. (Instant heartbreak.) Mark’s been a super good boy this year, too, so if you can find these urban myth shoes, I will make sure there’s a cookie by the fireplace every Christmas for the rest of my life. Promise!

There were a bunch of other goodies at the Nike store that I drooled over, but I’m not trying to overwhelm you, Santa.
