Your Cheatsheet to Healthier Holiday Snacking and Drinking

It might be the most wonderful time of the year, but it’s also definitely the most snackable. From treats at the office to cookie exchanges to all the holiday parties, we’re being bombarded by a variety of tasty treats. And hey, I’m not complaining — I love a festive gingersnap as much as anyone. Actually, probably a whole lot more!

There’s no way you’re going to come to FBG to learn about ways to stay away from all the goodies, all the time. You know how we roll — moderately! But, in the spirit of the holiday, we thought we’d share a few calorie counts of common holiday party fare. That way, if your party dress is getting a little snug, you know whether the champagne or the punch is a better choice for trimming calories.

Quick note: For best results, view in Firefox or Internet Explorer rather than Chrome.

(All calorie counts came from MyFitnessPal’s food database.)

What are some of your favorite better-for-you party foods? Anybody else like to come prepared with their own sugar snap peas?  —Kristen
