Healthy changes I’m making in the New Year consist of moving more; I sit a lot at work and decided that I have the time to throw in some jumping jacks, walking lunges and taking the stairs instead of the elevator !

One major health goal I have this year is to eat more foods without a label than foods with a label…. But if the food is gonna have a label, what better label to have than ‘Gluten-free, sugar-free and void of any nitrates, antiobiotics and synthetics, these are also Paleo-friendly and Whole30 certified’.

I am participating in a January Whole 30 (my third round), but plan to keep a mostly paleo diet once it has ended. I have also signed up to participate in the Indy Mini in May, and will begin training for that later this month. I want to get a least 8 hours of sleep a night, and to turn off and remove all electronic devices from my reach at bedtime. I also plan to use the stairs as much as possible to get to my 9th floor office (wish me luck with this one!! 😉 ).

I am going green this year (literally!) Day 1 (yesterday) was a success with 8 cup of green tea down! Also tons of kale and green parsley. This morning I reached for the tea instead of coffee so I’m very hopeful it will stick. Yum on the Jalapeno flavor too!
