JustGo and Don’t Worry About Leaking!

You can’t tell these fit bottomed gals have on pads at all!

One of the unfortunate and little-discussed side effects of pregnancy and childbirth is that the ol’ bladder — that rugged, steely organ you took for granted your whole life — takes a bit of a beating. In those early days postpartum, you start to wonder if you’ll ever get back your ability to control your pee flow or if you’ll be stuck leaking like a newborn whenever you hear water running.

Fortunately for most of us, you’ll regain much of that ability to control yourself, but many women continue to suffer from urinary incontinence when they’re getting active. Whether you’re playing kickball with your kids or in a yoga class, the last thing you want is to worry about pee leaks. And even worse, when you’re in super-tight yoga pants, you don’t want a massive pad protruding. (Side note: I saw a woman the other day in the gym with this very problem, and I wanted to tell her about this product.)

Enter the JustGo pad. Brooke Solis, a runner and mother of five, decided she could do better than the pads on the market. And the JustGo is certainly better. Designed to be durable and discreet, it’s shaped like a teardrop, with a wider section at the back and tapered to a thin width in the front. Unlike many pads, it’s barely there — I hardly even noticed it when I gave it a test drive. It stays in place, and the thin profile keeps it where it needs to be so that you’re not feeling it rub anywhere it shouldn’t.

So whether you’re experiencing leakage during pregnancy and want to remain active or whether you have the all-clear from your doctor to exercise postpartum (or are nowhere near childbirth but experience incontinence anyway), this pad does what it needs to do without announcing to the world that you’ve got it going on. So you can JustGo and get your workout on without worries!

Do you ever have unfortunate leaks? Found any products that work? (We also like the Dear Kate underwear!) —Erin
