7 Easy Tricks for Better Health
1. Short but high — even when you watch TV. Perform a high-intensity 3- to -minute workout during each commercial break of your favorite television show. That’s 20 minutes of HIIT per hour-long show!
2. Pick it up. Put on a high-intensity song and run to the beat.
3. Work for one. Choose a long song and perform an exercise (such as crunches) until the song ends.
4. Think back. Remember the last time you had an amazing workout. Studies show you’ll be more inclined to sweat!
5. Swap it! Swap out white pasta, flour and bread for whole-wheat or whole-grain versions.
6. Nix the butter. Line the pan with olive oil instead of butter for a more heart-healthy dish.
7. Bright means pretty! Make your plate colorful … it’ll look more appetizing, and therefore you’ll be more inclined to eat it.
