Scratch and Grain Baking Co. Cookie Kits Review: Gluten-Free Chocolate Truffle
Seeing that this is the last specific cookie kit we’re reviewing, I thought it would be nice to include an ingredients label and the nutritional facts for these. On the whole, the basic ingredients are pretty similar for all of the kits. And, like Karen said, the flaxseed in there is super cool! Not too bad when it comes to calories and fat, too!
And these chocolate truffle cookies tasted fantastic. You actually sprinkle a little sea salt on top for a nice presentation, and they taste great (just be careful not to put too much sea salt on or they really can get too salty). They have a deep and rich chocolate flavor and are nice and soft inside.
Of the three I tried, these were my favorite, but I’m totally a chocolate girl at heart. But of the three my friends all tried, the chewy peanut butter cookies were the winner. That said, I love the snickerdoodles, too, so, yeah, you can’t go wrong with any of Scratch & Grain Baking Co.’s gluten-free cookie kits! —Jenn
The Verdict From Karen
I’m usually not one to use any of the convenient “no stress, no mess” pre-packaged baking products. If my chef/mentors from the culinary caught me they would slap my wrists, but for those whose idea of a mixer is a cordless drill with a two-inch auger bit (Bill!) or those who have limited time, Scratch and Grain Baking Co. cookie kits might just be a godsend.
The Verdict From Jenn
What she said! And the gluten-free cookie kits are especially fabulous for those with allergy issues!
Would you try an all-natural but prepackaged cookie kit like this? —Jenn & Karen
