I Like to Drink My Probiotics

Some people like to take supplements to get their probiotics. Others like to eat their probiotics in the form of yogurt or kefir. And while I do like me some of that and sauerkraut (don’t forget it in a salad!), I have one preferred way to get my healthy bacteria in: drinks!
While I adore me some kombucha — especially the kind with chia seeds in them! — lately I’ve been smitten with KeVita’s new flavors. And by “smitten,” I mean absolutely obsessed. Having one every day …

In the afternoon when I want something other than water or on an evening when I know I’m getting up early to hit the gym the next morning and I don’t want something dehydrating like wine in my system, these have been perfect. They’ve even been great first thing in the morning, when I’m craving something fruit juice-like but don’t want all the sugar. Any time of day, they’re great.
The Hibiscus Berry Daily Cleanse is flowery and full of berry flavor, without being too sweet. The Tangerine is, well, tangerine-y and almost like a lightly flavored soda. And the Blueberry Cherry is probably my fave of the bunch with a nice and pleasant cherry and berry flavor that is settle but fun. All of them are low-calorie (talking 10 calories for the whole bottle), gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, sweetened lightly with Stevia and organic. They’re also filled with various superfoods like mangosteen, goji and green coffee bean extract.
(Now, word of caution: these do have a unique almost bitter and sour flavor — like kombucha — that some don’t dig. My husband isn’t a huge fan, for example. I dig it though. And if you like the ‘bucha, you’ll probably like this, too!)
A little bubbly, they are SUPER fun to drink when you pour them in a fun cocktail glass or champagne flute. Minus the alcohol, you really do feel like you’re getting pampered. And, seeing that probiotics are good at beating stress, you very much are. I love!
Do you drink probiotics? Ever tried KeVita? What’s your fave flavor? Cheers to probiotics! —Jenn
