3 Overnight Oats Recipes

With summertime on its way, we’re switching out our hot bowl of oatmeal for a cool jar of overnight oats. We love overnight oats for so many reasons. They taste ah-mazing, they’re so easy to prepare, and they’re a breakfast we can feel really good about eating.
Overnight oats are simply oats that are soaked overnight to absorb whatever liquid you choose to put them in. The basic formula is to combine equal parts oats to liquid, such as ½ cup oats with ½ cup milk or a milk alternative. In our overnight oats recipes, we like to pack in the heart-healthy omega 3s with flax or chia seeds, and a serving of Barleans flax oil. We also like to stir in a heaping spoonful of Greek yogurt for an added dose of satisfying protein. Once you’ve whipped up your nutritious masterpiece, you simply place your jar of overnight oats in the fridge to “cook” overnight.
It’s that easy. If you set aside 5 minutes at nighttime, the next morning, you’ll have a healthy, balanced breakfast at your fingertips, even if you don’t have enough time to dry your hair!
The best part? You can easily eat your overnight oats when you’re in class, on the bus, checking emails at your desk, on a hike or sitting in the sunshine. We’re serious when we say that overnight oats may the best thing since sliced bread.
Recipes for overnight oats are floating all over Pinterest, but we’ve found the best recipes are ones that combine the flavors you love. After experimenting a little bit, here are three of our favorite formulas for overnight oats!
