4 Awesome New Ways to Eat Quinoa

1. Simply7 Quinoa Chips. One of our new favorite ways to eat quinoa? Crunch into it as a chip! These Simply 7 Quinoa Chips come in Sea Salt, Cheddar, Sour Cream & Onion and Barbecue — and they are amazing. Light and airy like the other chips we’ve tried from Simply7, these are a little nutty and pack fab flavor. Plus, each serving has 9 grams of fiber and is gluten-free, non-GMO, vegetarian, kosher and has no preservatives. Move over potatoes — a new chip is in town!
2. eatKeenwa Krunch. You normally don’t think of “crunching” into quinoa, but with eatKeenwa Krunch you do just that! Made from cooked Royal Quinoa that’s been dried and passed through a pressurized heater, these golden bites of deliciousness have a light, nutty flavor and a slightly chewy but crunchy texture. A little more salty than just sweet, the flavors are amazing: Walnut Date Agave, Coconut Cranberry Cashew, Vanilla Almond Raisin and (our fave) Cinnamon Banana Strawberry. You can take the resealable packs with you anywhere, and they make for a great on-the-go snack before workouts, when hiking, traveling, etc. You can also munch ’em with milk or over yogurt. Gluten-free, non-GMO, soy- and dairy-free, these don’t have a ton of protein in them (1 gram per serving), but they do have 5 grams of fiber. Plus, they’re SO delicious.
3. Quinoa flour. Don’t just cook meals with quinoa, bake with it, too! Quinoa flour is a great way to add protein, vitamins and minerals to your favorite baking recipes. Plus, it usually lends itself well to a nice moist and tasty baked good when you use it — and it’s gluten-free. Not sure how to start using quinoa flour? Try one of these 12 suggestions! Yay for LOTS of new (sweet) ways to eat quinoa!
4. QuinoaSure. Ever heard of instant quinoa powder? We hadn’t either until we stumbled upon QuinoaSure, and we’re glad we did. Because QuinoaSure is kind of like quinoa flour — except you can pretty much add it to everything. A really fine powder, on its own it almost tastes like extra nutty Cheerios that were ground up, but it has SO much nutrition in it. Made of non-GMO quinoa seeds and free of gluten and soy, it contains all the essential amino acids, plus probiotics, antioxidants and omega fatty acids (2, 3, 6, 9). Add it to everything from your morning coffee or juice to your smoothie, soup or salad dressing for a super-power quinoa boost!
