5 Fitness Gadgets That Make Us Feel Like We’re Living in the Future
5 Fitness Gadgets
2. adidas micoach SMART RUN ($400). So, yeah, adidas pretty much took fitness tracking, music, GPS, coaching and heart-rate monitoring to the next level with the micoach SMART RUN. They basically combined every high-tech fitness feature on the market into a single device that you can wear on your wrist. And, really, it’s not even that big or clunky for all that it does. Just a little larger and a touch heavier than a normal watch (on par with other GPS watches), this fitness gadget for the techiest of fit techies has a really well designed color touch screen that’s pretty intuitive. You can play music on it, use GPS to track your runs, monitor your heart rate (off the wrist) and even have the adidas micoach system coach you to reach your goals. The set-up for it is pretty easy and quick — the only hiccup with this item is that you must charge it every night. For those who are used to that with other devices or are training for long distances and like to sync their data daily, it’s probably not a big deal. But a few nights when we were testing we forgot — and there’s nothing more sad-face inducing than wanting to use your new fitness gadget for a workout and getting a low-battery signal before you head out!
