We Can So Relate to This: What It’s Like to Be a Woman at the Gym

woman-at-the-gym

Tish sent me the funniest video the other day, and it was so great that I knew I just had to share it. I mean, how many times have you talked to your girlfriends about just how annoying it can be at the gym with dudes staring, striking up a conversation or just generally getting you out of your workout zone to flirt? Yes, most guys at the gym are cool. But sometimes, it can feel like a meat market. Where, um, you’re the meat. If you’ve ever felt this way — or had the same convo with your buds — this video from BuzzFeed is for you. You’ll totally get a kick out of it!

Which part was your favorite? And what part have you dealt with in real life? “Do you need a spot?” If I had a quarter for every time … —Jenn

as an avid fitness competitor and speaking from daily experience in the gym, the gym is a social gathering for most people trying to lead healthy lifestyles. people who enjoy the gym are in a good mood and actually more polite and helpful than anywhere else you go in todays society. its refreshing that people are actually still polite. granted people check each other out at the gym, so dress accordingly. stay positive and receptive to good vibes. as a woman if you don’t see this an ego stroke than sign up for an all women gym. and when a man checks you out take it as a compliment and don’t “pretend” that its a bad thing.. c’mon ladies you know you love the attention
