13 Whole-Food Snacks to Stock Up on

Feeling snacky? This time of year it’s more important than ever to be armed with healthy snacks when you’re out and about, cooking, shopping, going from party to party and just enjoying the hustle and bustle of the season. In order to bring you the healthiest snacks out there, we’ve rounded up 13 of our favorite whole-food snacks (some of which we love so much that we’re an affiliate). Many of these are pretty darn new to the market — and all are made with natural ingredients. Whole-food snacks for the win!

13 Whole-Food Snacks We Love

1. Evolution Harvest Pepita Almond Raisin Cranberry Bar. You probably know Evolution for their freshly pressed juices, but they also have snack bars and nut mixes to go! We’re particular fans of the Pepita Almond Raisin Cranberry Bar with, you know, all of those things in it. Oh, yeah. You can find these at Starbucks, too!
2. Taste of Nature Brazilian Nut Fiesta. Rarely do we see a snack bar with Brazilian nuts in it, but this one has ’em! Plus organic raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds, almonds and pumpkin seeds — the Taste of Nature Brazilian Nut Fiesta really is a whole-food snack fiesta.
3. Clean, Lean and Sexy Coconut Cashew Bar. You know about the health benefits of coconut, so why not get ’em in a whole-food snack to take on the go? With no grains, these bars only include dates, cashews, coconut, honey, almond butter, dehydrated apples and sea salt. Hashtag you’re doing it right.
4. Super Pop! Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter. Love popcorn? Love chocolate? Love peanut butter? This is your whole-food snack! Wheat-free, soy-free, dairy-free, non-GMO and all-natural, these crunch oh-so-good!
5. Simple Squares Organic Snack Bar Coffee. If you’re looking for a quick go-to whole-food snack in the morning, we cannot recommend Simple Squares Coffee bar enough. Not overly sweet with lots of real coffee flavor, this bar will perk you up and fill you up with no wheat, refined sugar, dairy or soy.
6. AMRAP Fig & Cacao Bar. Go ahead and get figgy with it with the AMRAP Fig & Cacaoa Bars. Super filling, dense and filled with 15 grams of protein each, these are great after a tough, tough workout (designed for the Paleo and CrossFit set) or even as an in-a-pinch meal replacement.
7. Picky Bars Cookie Doughpness. No, that’s not a typo. That’s really how they spell Doughpness! And it’s pretty dope. Picky Bars was created by three professional athletes and is great for workout recovery. With a nice cinnamon flavor, these are kind of like extra chewy Clif Bars but with even cleaner ingredients.
8. Slow food for fast lives Moroccan bar. With the tagline “Savory, Not Sweet,” these are freakin’ amazing and so different than most bars. If you’re sick of the sweet on-the-go whole-food snacks, you gotta try em. The Moroccan bar has pistachios, currants, carrots and ginger — and it’s a total exotic flavor party in  your tummy. LOVE THEM.
9. Frontier Bites Pecan Cherry Cinnamon. Prefer your whole-food snack in non-bar form? Try these crunchy and all-natural energy bites that are gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free and GMO-free. Only eight ingredients!
10. Fruit Bliss Organic Fruit Medley. Holy delicious and surprisingly juicy dried fruit, this stuff is beyond a treat. A mix of apricots, plums and figs that have been picked ripe, dried in the sun, infused with water and packaged (no other ingredients but fruit and water), believe us. You have to try these to believe how good they are. And no preservatives!
11. Balance Bare Sea Salt Caramel Nut. Confession: these bars aren’t entirely whole-food, but compared to other Balance Bars, they are much, much more whole food with nuts, oats and dates. Non-GMO, gluten-free and soy free, these bars also have a little protein and some fiber. Yummy to boot!
12. Athletic Greens. In case you’d rather drink your whole-foods, Athletic Greens has you covered. Admittedly, this stuff does taste green, but add some to your smoothie or with a little juice/water and you can get up to 12 servings of fruits and veggies in one serving. Like, whoa.
13. Fresh fruits, veggies and nuts. We had to include these. After all, you can never go wrong with the stuff that comes from no package at all!
