Save Cash and Calories With These CopyCat Wines

Going into a wine shop — or, heck, even in the wine aisle of your grocery store — can be intimidating. What do you pick up? How do you decide? While we’re always fans of other blog’s advice and just going with your gut (goat wine for the win!), sometimes it’s nice to have an easy cheat-sheet for what to buy. And today we have that for Wine Week!
We were recently hipped to BeverageGrades.com, a first-of-its-kind independent lab that rigorously tests thousands of wines, beers and spirits for nutritional information and flavor profiles. Go ahead and read that again. Yes, they test wine, beer and liquor for nutritional info and flavor profiles. It’s like our fit foodie prayers have been answered!
Because BeverageGrades.com has this vast database of info just waiting to be shared, we took them up on their offer to pass on a list of a few of their best CopyCat wines. Basically, they take common wines you’ve probably bought or at least seen before and then give you another option that tastes very, very similar except it’s more affordable — and in many cases also has fewer calories per glass. Like whoa.
Feel free to save the graphic below — it’s a great one to have for reference on your phone when out wine shopping!
