I spent one of the first days of this year cleaning my office. It’s the most disastrous room in the house, mostly because it’s a catch-all for stuff — mail, paperwork, things in need of repair, electronics that need recycling, kiddo art supplies, toys, you name it. The environment alone stresses me out, which is not a good way to kick off the new year. But cleaning it all up? Well, it was therapeutic, and it started my year off on a much better foot. It’s funny how a simple thing like de-cluttering and organizing can make you feel lighter, more refreshed and more ready to kick serious butt. So it stands to reason that de-cluttering the fitness side of your life can help your health, too! Here are a few tips for how to get organized when it comes to your health for a better 2015.
6 Tricks Get Organized to be Your Best Self
Organize workout clothes. Go through your workout clothes and toss anything that’s old or ill-fitting. Fold or hang the clothes neatly so that whatever you need is within easy reach. You don’t want to lose momentum when you can’t find your running tights!
Clean out the kitchen. One of the best ways to improve your eating habits and nutrition is to cook yourself. You know exactly what is going in your food because you’re in charge! And because you’ll be cooking more, you’ve gotta clean out the old. Go through the pantry, fridge and freezer and toss any expired packages, food that has passed its intended lifespan and any mysterious freezer items that are unrecognizable.
