My Jiggle Rocks

hotnessI have never, ever in my life been a fan of going to the gym. I enjoy working out alone with no one around. I’ll be the first to admit I totally let my insecurities get the best of me. I get intimated immediately by the fit women in their color-coordinated outfits who are running for an hour straight or bulldozing through a killer weights workout. Not to mention, you have the men around staring at your butt and thinking gosh knows what. Through working with FBG and being surrounded by incredibly uplifting women, I have overcome this insecurity a ton and also have joined a workout class four times a week. Obviously, FBG is all about being healthy, not “skinny”, and that’s what I love most.

So when I came across this “This Girl Can” video, I immediately related. Oh man, the confidence in these women is INCREDIBLE! I couldn’t help but be inspired and quite honestly, say “eff it”. My cellulite rocks and so does my jiggle.

Get out there, exercise, and sure as hell don’t let the fear of judgement stop you.

I love this video! I saw it the other day and shared it immediately. Unfortunately, no one else seemed to love it. I just know that we all have these insecurities. I’m constantly worried about my workout pants sliding down and my fat rolling over the top. I’m obsessed with pulling them up and it drives me crazy. I wish I didn’t care…. but maybe with enough workouts I won’t have to worry about that. hahaha.

  2. I saw this video the other day and just loved it!!! I do work out at the gym, I do better when I have to go someplace. I also run though, which is all over the neighborhood! 🙂 (Or sometimes at the gym haha)
I’ll be 40 in March, so I pretty much have gotten to the age where I don’t care one bit what others think of me. The only person I aim to please is God. He’s the only person who can judge me anyway! 🙂

This makes me want to go out to the park in a pair of comfy shorts and a sports bra and get my run on. 😀 Definitely inspiring and uplifting and another reminder that women are beautiful no mater what shape, size, color, age, or skill level is. We get brain washed by magazines and our insecurities that we forget that all women are beautiful, that you don’t have to be a size 0 or have a certain size chest or a certain color hair to be beautiful! We also have to understand that cellulite, stretchmarks and jiggle affects everyone in some way, shape or form. Even Tyra Banks talks about how she has cellulite!!! It’s natural and you have to embrace those “flaws” and own them as being beautiful!!!

I’m not female , but I can definitely say that this should be motivation for ANYONE that has insecurities about their “jiggle” while they workout. It should motivate you to work even harder towards your goal, not try to hide it away. And these ladies demonstrate that perfectly! Great video and an awesome blog! I hope this inspires more people to get up and moving.
