Basketball Workout (Kids and Skills Optional)
When Kristen shared this workout over on Fit Bottomed Girls, I knew I’d have to share it with the mamas over here. Now that I’m a mom three times over, it’s harder than ever to sneak away to the gym for an hour-long workout. Until that becomes easier (will it?), I find myself sneaking in workouts whenever I can. A workout DVD here, a handful of lunges there — it really does add up.
I love this basketball workout because if you have small kids, you can do it while they ride bikes or trikes (provided you’re on an empty basketball court). If you have older kids, you can do the workout together and the drills will improve their game. If you don’t have easy access to a basketball court, you can do some of the drills if you’ve got the open space. No matter how you modify it to fit your needs, it’s a nice break from your traditional gym workout. Watch the video to get the low down:
