It’s a Mindful Munch It Monday

It’s a new week, a new month, and a new Munch It Monday in the Fit Bottomed Challenge! But for the month of March, we’re tweaking our regular Monday focus a bit — instead of focusing strictly on food, we’re asking you to set a goal to do one of the following: yoga, meditation, journaling or eating mindfully for a week at a time. At the end of each week, you can opt to continue your current streak, add another one, or switch to something else entirely.

And Mondays aren’t the only days committed to mindfulness — the whole month’s Fit Bottomed Challenge is based on the idea of a Mindful March! Mindful Munch It Monday, March 2

Now, since this is Fit Bottomed Eats, after all, let’s talk for a hot second about mindful eating. It looks a little different for everyone, so the most important aspect of it is that you pay attention to you — your hunger, your cravings, your feelings, your needs. It means that you give thought to the food you put in your mouth — how it’s going to nourish you and how it’s going to make you feel, and then, as you’re eating it, focus on how it smells and tastes. And, of course, it means not sitting down and eating an entire can of beans without realizing it.

Because of our focus on mindfulness rather than munchiness, you won’t be seeing the weekly update here this month. But! I’ll be sharing occasional #FBC pictures and prompts on Instagram and Twitter (@fitbottomedeats on both for those of you who haven’t followed yet!), and you’ll get all the weekly updates each Monday on Fit Bottomed Girls.
