Squeeze Snacks for Grown-Ups

There has been a serious explosion in the squeeze snacks department. Pouches of all kinds of veggies and fruits have been popping up everywhere, especially for kids. But what if your fit foodie tastebuds want a squeeze snack that is great on the go but has a bit of a more grown-up profile? Well, you grab one of these and wheez the juice, man!

Plum Vida

Want organic fruits in tasty adult flavors? So did the women behind Plum who came up with a line of squeeze snacks for the older-than-toddler set. Lightweight, great on the go (tasty at room temperature or chilled), grain-free (super clean ingredient list) and less than 100 calories per pouch with three grams of fiber, Plum Vida has half a cup of fruits and veggies per pouch. And they taste GOOD. Sweet but not too sweet, they come in flavors like Pear Kale Spinach Celery, Pineapple Carrot Mint and Cherry Berry Beet Ginger. And, yes, they’re as tasty as they sound — and then some. We hear these are even good mixed with other, ahem, adult beverages …

Munk Pack

Want a squeeze snack that’s a bit heartier than just fruits and veggies? Munk Pack is it. A mix of oatmeal and fruit that you can take with you wherever, whenever, these are great for breakfast or as a pre-workout snack. With omega-3s, fiber and a super clean ingredient list (gluten-free, vegan and kosher, too!) these have a thicker texture that’s pretty filling for 100 calories per pouch. Available in flavors like Blueberry Acai Flax and Apple Quinoa Cinnamon, they’re kind of the perfect thing to have on your person for when you get hangry and need something healthy fast.
Are you up on the squeeze snack trend? Honestly, this was my first time trying it and I was pleasantly surprised at how darn tasty (both weren’t overly sweet and tasted very natural, which I loved!) and convenient these two brands were! I’d definitely try ’em again — especially for when I’m out hiking or traveling.Jenn
