The Least Boring Pants Ever
Gone are the days when you have to settle for boring black workout pants. Heck, even solid one-color bottoms are a thing of the past. Bold, bright prints are now easier to find than ever, and we are loving them. The most recent one to land on our doorstep is the K-DEER punk rock print. I mean, how can you resist this?
Especially when it comes in a kids’ version, too?
So you better believe I was game to try a pair so I could get matchy-matchy with my oldest. The pants ($78) are the most eye-catching pair I’ve ever owned. Here we are modeling them; my photo courtesy of the 4-year-old!
They’re made of a nylon/Spandex blend to provide gentle compression and incredible longevity (testing the longevity; I’ve only had mine a matter of weeks!). That compression is for real, so if you’re in doubt about your size, err on the side of going up. I am in a medium, and while they’re comfortable for me, I can’t say that a large would have been too big either. I do love that the legging can stretch to fit under the heel; perfect for yoga.
All of the pieces are moisture-wicking, water resistant and UVP 50+. The fabric feels similar to a swimsuit, which makes sense as they can be used for swims in the pool and in the ocean. This is great for kids who want to run around a playground and then go hit up the pool or splash park without changing. The fabric definitely stays dry, but I got pretty warm in it. Other reviewers love it for hot yoga and warm-weather workouts, so it’s likely a matter of personal preference! Personally, I’d save these pieces for morning/evening exercise or workouts in the fall or spring. The material is also meant to be hand-washed, too, but again because of its texture, you can really just air dry and get by with a few uses before you have to wash them.
They’re definitely not for the one who doesn’t want to attract a bit of attention — particularly if you’re going twinsies. But how fun are they for a Zumba class or a big race? And if you’re not this flashy, K-DEER has a lot of other fun prints, too.
Would you wear this awesomeness or would you rather stick with your basics? —Erin
