Drink to Your Health (and the App That’ll Help You Do It)

This is a topic that all of us at Fit Bottomed Girls are intensely passionate about, and we recently had a chance to work with Cigna — yep, the global health insurance company — on a two-week hydration program for their expanded Coach by Cigna health and fitness app! Want to get it for yourself? Coach by Cigna is available — free of charge! — in the Google Play store for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge mobile devices or any Samsung device with the Lollipop operating system.

So, here’s how it works: The Coach by Cigna app offers a personal integrated health assessment and a variety of programs designed to help you reach whatever goals you might have with exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress or weight. Each program has a coach (like one of us) who will motivate you with short videos, helpful links and simple, straightforward daily goals. For example, in the Coach by Cigna Hydration Program, we’ll help you track your daily hydration intake (right there in the app), give you tools to recognize what proper hydration looks like (and yep, we talk about pee), and provide tips for increasing your water intake day after day.
