Ah, who doesn’t love a break from the daily grind? Vacations are the perfect time to get away from your routine and try new things (like sleeping in for a change!) For a blissed-out week you can leave behind those boring office meetings, that dreadful morning commute, crafting those carefully worded e-mails and just kind of — you know — enjoy some down time for a bit. (What a concept!)
If you worry about losing your workout mojo we say– have no fear! There are so many fun, outdoor activities you can enjoy whilst away that will keep your mind and body sharp and maintain your fitness level. Yes, even after luxuriating in the sun, sand and enjoying all of those fruity drinks!
We researched and found 13 outdoor/vacation activities that burn at least 300 calories per hour (based on a 150-pound person). We’re not into rigid calorie counting by any means, but that’s a marker of a good workout!
