Push It Real Good With the July Fit Bottomed Challenge
When’s the last time you jammed out to some Salt-N-Pepa?
Been awhile? Or was it just 10 minutes ago? We think you can never get too much. Especially of this jam. And especially in July.
Why? Because it’s pretty much the inspiration for this month’s new Fit Bottomed Challenge* (click on the image below or here to download the full calendar)!
This month we’re challenging you to go farther, work out harder and really push yourself — while also focusing on the best push-it exercise of all time: the push-up! Each week you’ll build to doing more push-ups and more advanced push-ups. It’s gonna be fun!
What to Expect This Week of the Fit Bottomed Challenge: July 1-5
Wednesday, July 1: Let’s set a baseline today! Set a timer for five minutes and see how many push-ups (on your toes or knees, your choice) you can do. Write down your number!
Thursday, July 2: Time to take out a piece of paper or fire up the computer. We want you to answer the question “What’s holding me back?” as honestly as you can. If you get stuck, keep asking yourself the question followed by “why?” Just let the words flow — don’t worry about punctuation or grammar. When you’re done, read back through your answer and see if you learned something new about yourself.
Friday, July 3: Don’t just push it good; jump it good! Do this workout.
Saturday, July 4: Happy 4th and happy Saturday! To celebrate, enjoy 20 minutes of your fave cardio followed by 10 push-ups. Boom!
Sunday, July 5: Get inspired to do even more push-ups by watching this amazing video.
