Hitting the Ropes

I know when most couples have a babysitter for their small kids, they go out for a nice meal. Maybe go out to a movie. Have a nice drink at a bar without having to think about kids throwing their milk across a restaurant. Be adults. But my hubby and I did none of that recently when we had a few hours to ourselves. We hit up a ropes course! We are known for our sense of adventure, after all.

We’d wanted to do this particular “treetop adventure” for years now — ever since it first opened. We’d stared longingly up into the trees as others did it — as our kids dragged their heels after an hour at the nearby zoo. (So nearby in fact that when we did the course, we could spy into the bear exhibit!) Although there is a kids course, ours aren’t quite there yet age or ability-wise, so we’ll plan to take them in the future. Maybe after we go a few more times…

Read all about my ropes course adventures here and how being high in the trees had me sweating for several reasons. (It’s high up there!)

Have you ever done a ropes course like this? I can’t wait to do another one. —Erin
