And it’s pretty much the theme for this week of the January New Year New Rear Fit Bottomed Challenge*. Because besides getting in some great workouts and a really fun food challenge, this week you’ll be asked to dream, dream, dream! And we think all of your fit dreams should come true in 2016 …
What to Expect This Week of the Fit Bottomed Challenge: January 4-10
Monday, January 4: Got cravings? Who doesn’t?! Fight ’em with a healthier substitute with these tips and suggestions.
Tuesday, January 5: Instead of focusing on what you want to change about your body (which so many of us have a tendency to fixate on), flip up your thinking today to take note of all of the fantastic parts of your body that you love. Your eyes … your feet … your hair … your strong calves … your rockin’ biceps. Take time today to write down 15 things you love about your body. It’s a funny thing; when you start putting your attention on what you like about yourself, you feel better about yourself. Which is always a better place to be! (And, don’t worry — we’ll work on getting you fitter tomorrow … )
Wednesday, January 6: Grab a timer, set it for 10 minutes, and see how many times you can get through this circuit (modify as needed — push-ups and burpees on knees are totally great!): 10 push-ups, 10 lunges, 10 tricep dips, 10 squats, 10 sit-ups, 10 burpees. Be sure to write down your number. You’ll see this one again. Mwahahaha.
Thursday, January 7: It’s time to get those dreams going! We’re going to have you create your very own healthy dream board this month, and we want you to begin today by selecting images. Get details on how to do that here.
Friday, January 8: Workouts don’t need to be complicated or long to be effective. Take for example this KISS workout you’re doing today. Simple is good!
Saturday, January 9: Ten moves in 10 minutes. Another quick workout that’s surprisingly challenging! Do it today.
Sunday, January 10: You know that New Rear playlist you created last week? It’s time to have a dance party to it! Dance for one song, two songs or all the songs — your choice!
