Being a gym beginner is a little scary. Heck, even as someone who has worked out for years, walking into a new gym can be intimidating, nerve wracking and, OMG, what is all of this fitness equipment and how do I use it?

I was very recently a gym beginner. It was very intimidating. I would generally stick to the treadmill (just like it says not to do above). These tips are great and really help ease transitioning into a gym pro.

You should concentrate on compound movements like squats, deadlifts, bench press, military press. That’s key to progress over time…
