The New fullbeauty Activewear Line Is Full of Awesome

Last year, after recovering from a major surgery, I decided that I would try to improve my overall health by keeping physically active. I got an activity tracker and a gym membership and after a few months, I began to enjoy working out. Now, there’s nothing I look forward to more than an early walk in the crisp and dewy spring air with my exercise partners (read: my dogs). When I’m out in the brisk morning air, I prefer to wear a nice athletic jacket, an activewear tank and workout tights. I recently got the opportunity to try a plus-sized workout ensemble made by fullbeauty. I’ve really enjoyed this most recent addition to my arsenal of fitness apparel.

The fullbody SPORT pieces I selected to review were the Active Jacket, the Peached Knit Tank Top and the Mesh Leggings. I’m a firm believer in functional clothing, so the jacket’s pockets were a definite plus. (I don’t leave home without a cell phone for safety, and being plus-sized makes the arm-band style cell phone holder merely a pipe dream.) Said pockets are on both the outside of the jacket (for things one may need quick access to) and the inside (where one could keep more valuable, cell phone-shaped objects). I also really, really like the material. The polyester/spandex blend is very sheer on your skin and definitely works to keep you cool and comfortable when you’re killing it at the sometimes-stuffy gym.

The style and design of the pieces I tried have risen to the top of my gym clothes rotation because they just look so fun! My jacket is a bright fuschia that really stands out and the way it fits me is comfortably concealing while still flattering. The tank functions perfectly as a shell for the jacket and selecting it in black was the most slimming move, however, I’d have preferred for it to be about 1 to 2 inches longer for a more — ahem — modest feeling (ladies that love exercise tights will get my meaning here).

For me, the real test is the success of the tights though.

The pattern is tres chic, and since I’m a sucker for a bold floral pattern, they’re a perfect match for my style. They even have unique mesh panels in the calves that seem to shine in the light while still keeping you warm. I definitely appreciated the higher waist and *may* someday build up the courage to wear them with a sports bra alone! The waistband is substantial but not uncomfortable, so they don’t roll down when you’re getting your workout on. If I got a do-over on the order, I would probably order a size bigger in the tights than I normally wear because they were slightly snug, but that just gives me more incentive to keep up my fitness regime, right?

Overall, I’d definitely purchase more activewear from fullbeauty. It was tough to decide exactly what I wanted to try because of the different styles (standard active wear, yoga wear, even some active swimwear!) and colorful designs they have to offer. As long as clothing retailers like fullbeauty continue to make activewear for the larger lady, I predict I will continue to enjoy my journey toward a healthier life.
