How to Recharge Your Energy Naturally
Wouldn’t it be great if there were an easy way to recharge your personal energy? If there existed some simple method of rejuvenation that cost next to nothing, had no worrisome side effects and was accessible to all?
Well there is, and it is literally dirt-cheap!
Earthing, or forest bathing as it is known in Japan, is a natural way to reboot the system, combat stress and raise your personal vibration.
To properly earth (I guess that is what you would call it), one must get into direct contact with the surface of the planet. A barefoot stroll through the park or a nap on a sandy beach is all it takes to manage your personal energy and get back on track.
Forest bathing does more than work wonders for the psyche. It also has been scientifically proven to improve the immune system!
The science behind the concept is this: until modern times, people were in constant contact with the earth: we farmed and hunted, walked from point A to point B and spent more time soaking up the great outdoors in general. Our planet, according to the law of physics, is a negative charge and the human body is electrically conducive. Thanks in part to our modern lifestyle, we have an abundance of unpaired electrons known as free radicals roaming around in our system. (FYI: free radicals are not good.) By coming in direct contact with the surface of the earth, our bodies absorb the earth’s negative electrons, which neutralize damaging free radicals.
Find Some Green
City and apartment dwellers take heart! Even if you don’t have a lot of green space nearby, there are still opportunities to garner the benefits of earthing.
- Put your hands on the trunk of tree.
- Hold a warm rock in the palm of your hands.
- Create your very own windowsill garden? Buy a small pot, some herbs and a bag of dirt. Dig in.
- Visit one of our beautiful national parks.
- Commune with nature and do a good deed: volunteer to work in an elderly person’s yard.
