Although my daughter is technically not named after Gwen Stefani, it’s no secret that I love me some Gwen Stefani tunes and I love her girl-powerness. And yeah, if I hadn’t been binge-watching The Voice with my husband when I was pregnant, maybe the name wouldn’t have been so in our brains.

Turns out, I’m not alone in that thought process because naming babies after athletes is a thing. And this fun infographic from Names.org showcase the top 14 baby names inspired by athletes of late.
Bonus fun fact: When Mia Hamm’s career began in 1987 there were 544 babies named Mia. In 2016 there were 14,336 babies!
