Beauty for Those Who Sweat

Guys, here’s some fun news: being healthy and active is so popular now that companies and entrepreneurs are creating beauty products just for those of us who sweat!

And while we all know that we’re beautiful exactly as we are, there’s no doubt that sweat makes you, er, sweaty.

So, for all of your fit and sweaty situations, we’ve compiled a great list of some of the companies and entrepreneurs who are making sweat even more beautiful (and have sent us goodies to test out).

Now, go get ’em, gorgeous!

Bath & Body

DirtyBird Soap: You probably think soap is just, er, soap, right? Wrong! Because much of a soap’s ingredients actually gets absorbed in the skin, this soap is formulated specifically with natural oils and other properties (the Energy soap actually has caffeine in it) to help you to get clean and feel awesome. Oh, and the reusable containers snap shut so that you can take your DirtyBird soap wherever you go.

Priori LCA fx160 – 2xFoliant Peel + Scrub: Even if you are religious about getting out of that sweaty sports bra and showering asap after a workout, I’m gonna go ahead and bet that you occasionally deal clogged pores, build up of gunk, etc. For me, that’s particularly true because of all the sunscreen I slather on. This scrub from Prior works on body and face, contains lactic acid for a mild chemical peel, microspheres for exfoliation, and has an LCA complex for moisturization and protection. So, basically, you can use it to really do some serious exfoliating — but it’s packed with anti-irritants to keep that skin from getting angry.

Power Clean Soap Active Charcoal Bar: Yes, charcoal can get you clean. Very clean. And this bar smells great! Made with activated charcoal, dead sea mud, essential oils of scotch pine, cedarwood, and fir needle, and nothing artificial, it leaves your skin feeling amazing after a hard workout.

Hair

Aussie Sprunch Hairspray:
You know those days when you want a little hold but not, like, a TON of hold on your curls? This is the hairspray for that. And, with UV protection, it’s fantastic for keeping your curls (natural or not) shiny and protected for those outdoor bootcamps and runs!

Herbal Essences White Strawberry & Sweet Mint Shampoo, Conditioner, and Dry Shampoo: This entire line is color-safe, gluten-free, paraben-free and ph-balanced. And! It smells great. Whether you’re looking for a new dry shampoo or an everyday go-to shampoo and conditioner, we are loving it.

Grace Eleyae Satin-Lined Hats: Wish your workouts didn’t mess up your hair? Meet Grace Eleyae satin-lined hats that look cool on the outside and keep your hair nourished and prevent breakage with satin on the inside. Plus, the hats are lightweight and look darn cute. And if hats aren’t your thing, they have satin-lined headbands, too!

Kerabotanica Slay and Play: Sure, showering after a workout is ideal, but sometimes you and your hair just don’t have the time. This is where Kerabotanica’s Slay and Play Refreshing Hair Mist makes for the perfect gym bag essential. Made with a natural blend of coconut oil, sweet almond oil and blue agave extract, it moisturizes, refreshes and revitalizes, all while making your locks smell like French bergamot and sweet South Africa freesia.

milk + sass Macaron for Hair: Yes, we wrote about this one in regards to detangling kids’ hair, but it also works super well for grown-ups and is the perfect brush to throw in your purse, gym bag or suitcase. It’s great and gentle on wet or sweaty hair, and it’s even got a mirror built in. Plus, it comes in so many fun and bright colors!

Make-Up

Moroccan Magic lip balmYou probably know about argan oil for your hair, but how about your lips? We tried this awhile back and it helped us to break our Vaseline addiction. Still loving it (especially the Peppermint Eucalyptus!). It’s also super great to use under lipstick as a natural moisturizer.

Yuni Glow Between: So you want to get that fresh, dewy look without using a ton of products — or a ton of time? One of Yuni’s newest products (watch for it coming out in August) is this hydrating jelly micro mist, which can be applied before make-up to help hydrate and prep skin, or over make-up later in the day to help protect skin from environmental aggressors … and to provide a little extra glow.

Skincare

FRÉ Revive MeLooking for a moisturizer that’s replenishing, but still light and is actually designed for skin that gets sweaty during workouts? That’s exactly what this is. The daily treatment serum keeps skin hydrated and nourished with minerals and vitamins — and it even combats the short and long-term damage — such as premature aging, dryness and skin fatigue — caused by harmful environmental conditions.

Yuni Beauty Yunicorn Celestial Jelly Detoxifying Mask Cleanser: We’re a bit obsessed with Yuni, if you can’t tell already — after all, their tagline is “mindful beauty for an active life.” And this cleanser and mask is one of the newest products to claim a spot on our shelf (it’ll be released to the public in August, so watch for it!). Made with sea lavender and honeysuckle, this shimmmery gel glides on smoothly, feels cool and calming on our skin (especially nice post-workout), smells fantastic, and wipes away easily, taking all the yuckies with it. It can be used as a mask, too, for a little extra pampering — just leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing.

Willing Beauty Sleepover Replenishing Night Cream: Take your beauty sleep one step even more beautiful with this night cream that has a moisturizing mix of antioxidants and brightening fruit acids that help encourage cell turn over and the stimulation of collagen. So rich and creamy feeling, and your skin wakes up so refreshed in the a.m.!

colorescience Daily UV Protector Whipped Mineral Sunscreen: We’re very particular about our sunscreen, and we absolutely love how light and airy this goes on. With just a hint of color, it also gives you a little bit of coverage without being nearly as heavy as a foundation.

Reason Y Workout Warrior Mask: Designed specifically to be used post-workout, this face mask uses grapefruit extract to help promote cellular health and reduce the risk of infections. It also leaves your skin feeling (and smelling) so fresh and so clean (clean).

Braun Silk-épil 9-961V: Don’t want to spend all your time shaving your legs? Welcome to the club. This at-home hair removal and exfoliation system even includes a massage pad to stimulate blood circulation and improve skin appearance. Works in the shower or out!

Young Living Cool Azul Sports Gel: In case you’ve got any aches, pains or general soreness from your active pursuits, this stuff is awesome. Formulated with 10 percent essential oils, it cools with peppermint, oregano and Dorado Azul, along with menthol and camphor. It simply feels awesome when you rub it in achy joints or muscles, and a little goes a long way.

Accessories

Go Dash Dot Go Tote: Now, where’s a girl to put all that awesome beauty stuff, plus work and life and on-the-go stuff? IN THIS BAG. We already loved the Infinity Bag from Go Dash Dot, but this new tote is slightly bigger with two external padded pockets for laptop/tablets. There’s also an exterior slip pocket with snap closure on the back for your phone, activity tracker or other smaller items. Basically, it’ll totes fit ALL your stuff. (See what we did there with totes since it’s a tote … )

Nike Helix EliteBesides just looking darn cool, this lightweight, aerodynamic combined lens-frame features rubber channels and ventilated temple arms for fog prevention and increased airflow. It’s ideal for your next outdoor workout. Just put them on and go!

Qalo Stackable Rings: Silicone rings aren’t new by any means, but these ones that stack — allowing you to mix and match colors and textures while still getting your workout on? We adore. So fun, so cute, so sweat-proof and you really don’t notice them when you’re lifting weights, climbing ropes or doing pull-ups!

Have you tried any of these? Got any others we should try? Do tell! —Jenn & Kristen
