3 Treats for Your Feet

Running shoes are great — but they’re not the only thing your feet need. Unless, of course you’re Scott Jurek and running the entire Appalachian Trail, or something like that, in which case … I guess you might pretty much be in athletic sneakers 24/7.

But the rest of us? We need to switch things up on the reg to pamper our piggies properly, and that means having a variety footwear options at the ready. Here are a few fun items we’re digging these days.

Xero Z-Trail Women’s Sandals, $79.99

You know how great it feels to be barefoot … until you step on a rock, or a shell, or a particularly pointy piece of grass? These trail-friendly sandals offer the best of both worlds, because they’re lightweight and flexible but super durable — as in a 5,000-mile sole warranty kind of durable. Hike, walk, or even take them out on the water without worry, because they float!

LISSOM Flyte, $89-99

Looking for footwear that still gives you that level of comfort and movement, but looks just as sharp with your yoga pants as you leave the studio as it does with your office attire? You might want to give the LISSOM Flyte a try. This flexible flat is designed to help you feel connected with the ground while still offering support — a dynamic duo that’s meant to encourage mindful movement throughout your day. One note — although they’re generally shown on bare feet, I might recommend wearing a short sock with them, at least to start, as I had a little heel rubbing as I broke them in (but that’s a very common issue for me, so you might have no issues at all).

Feetures Be Bold Cushion Crew, $19.99

I’ve been a bit of a Feetures fan for years, but had really only ever tried the styles designed for running. And while I love them (a lot), when I’m looking for socks to wear for … well, things other than running, those aren’t quite what I need. But the Be Bold Cushion Crew totally is! They have the same targeted compression and cushion that I’m used to in other Feetures styles, but the lightweight material, crew length, and fun designs make them a little more my jam for wearing on the daily with my slippers.

So, whatcha got on your feet right now? Anything cozy? Pretty? Something I should add to my collection of things I love? —Kristen
