Fun Summer Must-Haves for the Whole Fam

My whole family has summer vibes going right now.

Not only are we excitedly expecting twins this summer (!), but after a long winter, the promise of regular pool time, sunshine, and in-season watermelon is giving us serious heart eyes.

Because the summer weather is here. It’s finally here!

And here are some new finds that are pairing SUPER well with sunshine — for the whole fam.

My Audio Pets Splash

Everything is better with good tunes, and these wireless Bluetooth speakers aren’t just adorable and kid-friendly — they’re also waterproof! Meaning you can take them to the beach, the pool, on the boat, in the sprinkler, and anywhere else your summer family adventures take you. (Also fun for bathtime!)

Each pet is about the size of your fist, shaped like a fun animal (polar bear, octopus, or the narwhal you see above), and can go up to three feet deep in water and they’ll still play for 30 minutes underwater (kids and adults find this FASCINATING). With easy-to-use controls on the bottom, it’s simple to sync these to your phone and play whatever tunes you’d like. We found the sound to be pretty good, but if you’re looking for a little more oomph, you can buy two and pair them for a more full stereo experience.

BOB KIDS Mineral Powder Sunscreen

If your kids are like mine, putting on sunscreen can sometimes feel like a chore if not an all-out battle — especially getting it on the face, which you can’t do quickly with a spray. That’s where this powder sunscreen saves the day. Water-resistant for 80 minutes and with broad spectrum SPF 30 protection, you simply apply using a super soft and fluffy purple brush. The sunscreen goes on easy, doesn’t run into the eyes and isn’t greasy — plus the brush tickles my daughter’s face and makes her crack up every time.

The sunscreen is also gentle, which is a must for kiddos — it’s hypo-allergenic, vegan, gluten-free, and reef-friendly. Active ingredients are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.

Nothing says summer fun like bubbles, and Glove-A-Bubbles makes blowing bubbles fun — and easy for kids and parents. (Mostly because it’s pretty easy for kids ages three and up to make bubbles on their own instead of getting frustrated and having you do it over and over and over again.) Each character-themed glove comes with two bubble pouches. You simply put the glove on, dip into the mixture, and then — boom! — wave your hand around for instant bubbles.

And the best part? The gloves and bubble bag are pretty sturdy and reusable — just refill the mixture with any leftover bubbles you’ve got around the house. (Because I’m not the only one with, like, five containers of half-used bubbles, right?!)

What must-haves have you and your fam saying “summer fun” this year? We totally already have a kiddie pool from last year, but I’m having a HARD TIME not picking this one up. So. Cute! –Jenn
