The #FBGAntiDiet Challenge: Focus on What’s Really Important

Guys! Our book comes out in less than two months. Two months! The countdown is sooo on. And one of the most important lessons from The Fit Bottomed Girls Anti-Diet is this nugget of wisdom.

Focus-your-mental-energy

What’s really the most important thing to you? Is it your family? You career? Your pets? Your friends? Your contribution to the world? Your focus? Your energy? When you really get down to it, when we don’t have our health or the ability to do the things we want to do in this life, we suffer.

It’s not about the number of calories burned in a workout or the occasional cheeseburger for dinner — it’s about the broader and more complete picture. Are you really taking time to live? Are you aware of how wildly precious and special each moment — large and small, beautiful or not — is? Are you treating your body and your time with the respect it deserves? Are you truly grateful for everything you can do? Consider this your reminder to check in with you and see if you’re really living your life in a way that feels good and lives up to your most brilliant and beautiful potential.

A super great way to take the time to see the forest through the trees or stand in the sun versus chilling in the weeds (like the gal above) is to do something that connects you to yourself and something larger than yourself. Which is why when we saw reader Ashley’s Instagram that used the #FBGAntiDiet tag, we knew we had to feature it! Nothing like growing your own food to help you slow down, appreciate nature and get in touch with the larger awesomeness that is life. And yummy veggies!
