My Thoughts on the Eve of Our Book Being Released …

Our book comes out tomorrow, and you might as well pinch me.

A book! A whole book that Erin and I wrote! All about being a Fit Bottomed Girl — and NOT dieting!

These two same girls, six years later, have a book published by Random House that’s out and for sale online and in stores.

Seriously, pinch me.

Long, long ago, when Erin and I were getting the beginnings of FBG together, we set goals. And there were lots on there. But one big and audacious one was “write a book.” So to see that actually happen and have it in my hands (advanced copy, what what!), it’s just … wow.

These days, we have three sites with more on the way — and Erin has two kids with one on the way. I’m looking to start a family soon myself, and we have a whole bunch of talented and amazing writers on staff. We’ve been able to feature and work out with our idols. We’ve had readers change their lives. We’ve done mud runs and live events (speaking of, don’t forget these!). We’ve traveled near and far. And we’ve had the awesome privilege and responsibility of having you read us day after day, listening to everything from our rambles to our deepest confessions to our thoughts on, well, everything. You’ve trusted us to give you the real deal on keeping a lid on the junk in the trunk, and I think we’ve held up on our end of the bargain, always focusing on our mission to help you ditch the diet drama and be healthy because you’re so much more than the number on the scale.

Writing a book is no small feat. There’s obviously a lot of writing, but there’s also a lot of editing (so many rounds of editing!) … and conference calls … and emails … and promotional stuff. Erin and I squeezed this all in (somehow!) into our normal FBG/FBM/FBE duties. To be honest, I’m not sure how we did it all, but we did!

Taken during one of the final editing phases. Something surreal about curling up with your own book!

So on this eve of The Fit Bottomed Girls’ Anti-Diet book being released, I have just one thing to say: Thank you. From the bottom on my heart, I am so incredibly grateful for your support over the years and your readership, enthusiasm and for how you’ve really embraced our feel-good mission. FBG is a labor of love, and I’m over-joyed to be able to do it every single day.

A thousand times again, thank you, dear readers! —Jenn
