Sweet Turmeric Twister

Got tummy troubles? Turmeric may be just the spice you’ve been looking for! Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory spice known for its medicinal superpowers. This superfood spice helps heal digestive problems and relieves pain and swelling caused by inflammation. Pairing ginger and pineapple, this smoothie will make your tummy feel like it’s getting a nice warm hug.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 cups chopped pineapple
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 piece of (1/2 inch) fresh ginger, peeled
Instructions
  1. Blend the spinach and water until smooth.
  2. Add the pineapple, lemon juice, turmeric, and ginger and blend again.
Notes
Tip: Have fresh turmeric root? Swap in a 1⁄4-inch piece of it for the ginger.
