Turmeric Rice

This turmeric rice recipe is quick and easy to make, plus it makes the perfect side dish for almost everything!

  • 1 tbsp ghee or butter

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 c Jasmin rice
  • 1 1/2 c water


  • Heat ghee/butter over medium heat until melted.
  • Add in salt and spices and cook until slightly toasted, stirring constantly (about 30 seconds to a minute).
  • Add in rice, stirring to combine. Cook another minute while stirring constantly.
  • Add water and bring to a boil.
  • Cover, turn heat to a low simmer, and cook for 15 minutes or until rice is fluffy and done. Enjoy with all the things!
