How To Cook Perfect Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 12 cups water
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Put rice in sieve and rinse under cold water for 30 seconds.
  • Bring 12 cups of water to a full boil.
  • Add rice and stir.
  • Reduce heat to medium high and boil uncovered for 30 minutes.
  • Drain and let water drip through sieve for 10 seconds.
  • Return the rice to the pot (off the heat) cover with a tight fitting lid and let it to steam for 10 minutes.
  • Uncover, fluff and serve.
